Opening dates for services and leisure activities on the Estate in 2023
Our team welcomes you throughout the year and adapts to the different seasons to offer a quality stay in the summer and winter ! Depending on the dates you book, here are the opening dates for our services and activities. You’ll also discover, a few excursion ideas, according to the season.
Spring time : a breath of fresh air !
From the middle of March to the middle of June, nature slowly starts to wake up, after the winter. Even as early as the Easter holidays, the trees at l’Oiselière are budding and the flowers are starting to bloom ! From the terrace of your cottage, you will hear the little larks and swallows singing. The surrounding landscape becomes green again, and is an exceptional natural setting to enjoy a break during the bank holiday week ends. Our campsite pitches and amenities are ready to welcome you for this year’s first holiday, whether it’s in a caravan, camper van or tent (07/04 – 17/09). You will also be able to enjoy our Lodges and Coco Lodges for an “under canvas experience”. (28/04 – 17/09).

Le Grand Parc du Puy du Fou will open on the 8th April 2023. So, why not take the opportunity during the Easter holidays to discover the magic of this internationally renowned park. The various spring bank holidays in May and June, are also the ideal time to discover the new attractions offered by the many tourist sites, to go on outings with your family or friends or even for a getaway break in the Vendée Vallée region: the refuge de Grasla, hiking or cycling, a visit to Nantes, or discover the heritage that the Vendée has to offer… and there are plenty more ideas here.

And finally, the summer holidays have arrived. Beautiful sunny weather, relaxing by the pool, a few glasses of wine and lots of barbecues…. until the sun goes down! In July and August, whether you are camping or in rented accommodation, you can enjoy all our services, facilities and leisure activities. We offer a full programme of activities for the entire family.

During your summer holiday, you will be able to explore the Vendée. From the beaches along the Altantic coast, the Vendée’s islands, to the inland lakes with their nautical activities ….so many places to enjoy and create holiday memories ! Autumn in the Vendée : enjoy the last few days of mild weather
Autumn is slowly settling in, on the estate. Our tall hundred-year-old oaks and the trees in the small wood, are gradually changing colours, turning red, yellow, or orange… During the Autumn mid-term holidays, why not discover the l’Oiselière’s natural setting as a family or a couple. Enjoy the peace and quiet in a preserved nature – a real relaxing moment.

The Indian summer in the Vendée allows you to fully enjoy nature. How pleasant it is, to watch the sun peaking through the orange and yellow treetops as you walk through the forest. In 2023, the Parc du Puy du Fou will remain open until the 5th November. You can find more ideas here.
Winter at the l’Oiselière : cosy and Christmassy !
Between the months of December and March, make the most of the Christmas holidays and the mid-term break in February, to have a great time with your family! Our “four” seasons cottages provide a warm and friendly place, a real pied-à-terre for a cosy stay to discover the Vendée.

During this holiday period, many different shows and activities are organised for you to experience the festive atmosphere of Christmas. For example, you could go to see the Christmas show entitled « L’Odyssée Fantastique du Cavalier de l’Anse Rouge » at the Haras de la Roche. Or alternatively, take a stroll around the magical Christmas market in Tiffauges and catch a delicate whiff of gingerbread, sample some mulled wine, and listen to Christmas carols…and there are plenty more ideas here.
